'Thermodynamics Kept Simple – A Molecular Approach: What is the Driving Force in the World of Molecules?' is the newest best-selling university level textbook in its field, written by Roland Kjellander, professor emeritus in Physical Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Gothenburg.
The book offers a unique way of teaching basic thermodynamics. The fundamentals are introduced by focusing at the molecular level and illustrated by concrete examples, making it easier for students to understand.
The Swedish version 'Vad är drivkraften i molekylernas värld? En molekylär introduktion till termodynamik.' has successfully been used in basic chemistry teaching at the University of Gothenburg since 2002. Now the popular study book is also available in English.
